In all seasons
in sunshine and in shadow
Friendship
is a tree of life
a sheltering tree
a family tree
whose roots rest
deep in the ground of our being
a holy place we know to be home
anchoring
holding
in all seasons
in sunshine and in shadow
so that the branches
may dance safely freely
in the changing winds of time
and its leaves are for
the saving and healing of our lives.
