Outside my comfort zone

I like the comfort of routines.  For me, schedules and routines provide a sense of structure and predictability.  Even on vacations, I like schedules. I am uneasy when I have to go out of my comfort zone.

I sometimes value routines over people.  Recently, I saw  Dama text someone, " Do you need a ride to church?" A simple action motivated me to think about how I am reaching out to others.  When was the last time I asked someone if they needed a ride to church or to a medical appointment?  When was the last time I visited someone in a nursing home or the hospital?  When did I make an effort to meet the new neighbors? Now, I need to put action to my words.
